Community Partnership Program

Community Partnership Program

If your community group has an idea that would help the ongoing development‚ wellbeing and sustainability of our community‚ but you need funds to do it‚ our Community Partnership Program could be for you. You may already be aware that our Partnership funding rounds are now quarterly, and a new round has just opened, with applications due Monday 24 February, 2025.

For the first time, applications for funding will be online, through our new SmartyGrants portal – see the button link below.

Transitioning our funding application process to SmartyGrants represents a significant step toward improving efficiency and accessibility. This online platform streamlines application workflow, allowing applicants to submit and manage their proposals digitally. SmartyGrants offers tools for better data management, automated tracking, and real-time communication, reducing administrative burdens for both applicants and our team. Additionally, the platform enhances transparency and consistency in the evaluation process, ensuring ongoing fair and equitable decision-making. By moving to SmartyGrants, we aim to create a more user-friendly experience while optimising our resources to focus on delivering community impact.

If you are new to the SmartyGrants platform, our Community Partnership Lead Sophie Guerin is here to help with the transition. One-on-one training sessions are available, where she will walk you through the new application process, and help you to submit your application. A help guide for applicants and a frequently asked questions page are also available to help you navigate the platform with confidence. Additionally, we will maintain open communication, regularly seeking feedback to address challenges and make adjustments as needed. Our goal is to ensure everyone feels supported and confident in using SmartyGrants, making the transition as seamless as possible.

For help, or to provide feedback on the process, contact Sophie Guerin on 0478 435 110 or at community@mdcb.com.au

Traditional Owners

We acknowledge the traditional owners of this land, the Dja Dja Wurrung people, and we pay our respect to the elders past, present and emerging. The Dja Dja Wurrung people have been custodians of this land for many centuries, and have performed age old ceremonies of celebration, ritual and renewal. We acknowledge their living culture and their unique role in the life of this region.

We express our gratitude that we share this land together, our sorrow for some of the cost of that sharing, and our hope and belief that we can move to a place of equity, justice and partnership together.
